The Real Main Cause of Active Shootings in the Schools

by William Edwin Baxter, Author

On the last day of school at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas; Salvador Ramos, an 18 year old active shooter entered the school with a rifle, and open fired, killing 19 elementary school students and 2 teachers before he was shot and killed himself by a U.S. Border Patrol Officer. Since this tragic event occurred which has rocked the nation, Socialist leaders are already pointing fingers at Republicans and the “Constitutional Right to Bear Arms.” Guns don’t kill. People kill. For people who are so inclined to take a life, if they don’t have access to a gun, they will find another murder weapon, and there are plenty of objects which can be used as a murder weapon. The right to own guns and bear arms is not the main cause of these violent acts in the schools. In cases of Active Shooters, a lot of their case histories have revealed that they were constant victims of school bullying. So basically, it’s not guns, it’s school bullying, and the school district’s ineptness in dealing with bullies and the brown-noses who fan the flames. There needs to be a lot stricter policies against school bullies, and THAT INCLUDES SCHOOL ATHLETES. Believe it or not, some of the worst bullies there are just happen to be star athletes who often prey and students who are “Different.” I know this from experience. If a bullying victim tries to report the bully who happens to be a star athlete, he is apt to get: “Stop being a baby, he is important to the school.” A bully is a bully, whether he is a star athlete or not. If that star athlete goes around stuffing students who are different (Or have developmental disabilities) into lockers, that star athlete should be EXPELLED. If the school loses out on “League Championships,” or “School Glory,” so be it. At the very minimum, bullies should not be allowed to take part in school sports and should be thrown off of whatever team they are on. The school systems throughout America are a long way from dealing with bullying like they should be, and until that changes, STOP POINTING FINGERS AT THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS (And the leaders like Governor Abbott of Texas who take a stand for the Right to Bear Arms). Constant bullying of young individuals is the main cause of Active Shooters in the school, not the Right to Bear Arms.
